Jackson Gillman, “The Standup Chameleon” will Join December 10 Song & Story Swap

Please come share in an evening of music and stories at the December Pioneer Valley Folklore Society SONG & STORY SWAP.

Jackson Gillman at the Balck Sheep in Amherst on December 10!

Friday, December 10, 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Black Sheep Café, 79 Main St., Amherst, Mass.

Featured artist at the December 10 Song & Story Swap will be “Stand-Up Chameleon” Jackson Gillman. Jackson has been performing comedy, music and New Vaudeville on Maine's Mount Desert Island for twenty five summers. Year-round he brings his unique brand of one-man theater to diverse audiences across the nation. Whether performing on concert stages, at colleges, business functions, festivals, school assemblies or libraries, Jackson delights his audiences with his inventions while touching them with his personal warmth. At the Swap he will be drawing from his show Disorderly Conduct - his rollicking revue of song parodies and topical originals.

More information about Jackson Gillman may be found at his web site, http://www.jacksongillman.com.

The warm-up theme this month is Truth.

The PVFS Song & Story Swap happens the 2ND FRIDAY of every month.  For information contact Paul Kaplan, (413)-253-9484 or Jeff Lee, (413)-256-0433 or visit http://www.filbert.com/pvfs.

Where's the Western Mass. Folk Calendar?

We enjoy compiling the monthly WMass. Folk Calendar and have been heartened by the words of encouragement from you readers who have reported using the listings to locate a good folk event.  However, putting it together takes a chunk of time, and time is something the Webmaster has had little of the past couple months as he and his wife have welcomed a new son into their lives -- Cameron Gray-Lee was born the day after Thanksgiving.  Baby, Mom and Dad are doing fine and hope to get back to publishing the calendar in the months ahead.
