Letitia VanSant will join March 3 Song & Story Swap

Please come share in an evening of music and stories at the Pioneer Valley Folklore Society Song & Story Swap.

Saturday, March 3, 7:00 p.m. at the The Nacul Center, 592 Main St., Amherst, Mass (see map).

Guest performer at the March 3 Song & Story Swap will be Maryland folksinger-songwriter, Letitia VanSant.

Letitia VanSant will join March 3 Song & Story Swap in AmherstBaltimore's Letitia VanSant has earned a reputation for creating "bonafide Americana and indie folk with harmonies you can sink your teeth into."

With her distinctively smooth voice, finely crafted lyrics, a gift for storytelling and a keen insight into the human condition, Letitia VanSant has been garnering accolades wherever she is heard. She was one of six winners of the prestigious 2017 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk award and was invited to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's Emerging Artist Showcase last year. She won the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, and the Baltimore Sun recognized Gut it to the Studs, from her most recent album, as one of "30 Songs that Defined 2017."

The Pioneer Valley is fortunate to have an opportunity to hear this talented and rising star. Catch Letitia VanSant performing at the March 3 Song & Story Swap.

The Song & Story Swap is held on the first Saturday of each month, excepting July and August, and is jointly sponsored by the Pioneer Valley Folklore Society and the Nacul Center (http://tiaarchitects.com/nacul).  Visit the Folklore Society website at http://www.filbert.com/pvfs.

The Song & Story Swap is open to the public, free of charge with donations accepted ($5 - $10 is suggested).  People of all ages gather to share stories and songs that are traditional, newly written, or of personal experiences. You can tell, sing, or lead everyone in singing, or request a song or story.  Listeners are welcome.
