Kala Farnham will join February 2 Song & Story Swap

Please come share in an evening of music and stories at the Pioneer Valley Folklore Society Song & Story Swap.

Saturday, February 2, 7:00 p.m. at the The Nacul Center, 592 Main St., Amherst, Mass (see map).

Multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Kala Farnham will be the featured performer at the February 2 Song & Story Swap.

Kala Farnham will join Feb. 2 Song & Story Swap in AmherstKala Farnham's signature songwriting is nothing less than a reinvention of the folk tradition made popular by artists such as Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. She has been praised for her classical undertones and playful dose Broadway theatricality onstage, and a lyricism that springs to life with creative storytelling, cultural references, and rich metaphor.

Her first full-length studio album, Anahata: Wake Up Your Heart, was nominated for Best Americana Album in the annual Motif Music Awards alongside a nomination for "Best Female Americana Vocalist".

Indie Spoonful praises Kala Farnham as an "ever-growing, ever-engaging, and ever-imaginative artist who continuously stretches the boundaries of the genre with honesty, musical grace, and superb song-writing."

Catch her at the February 2 Song & Story Swap.
